The class page and roster
Everything on a class page: summary cards, the roster, registration and payment statuses, evaluations, and every row action from Confirm to Mark as Paid.
Updated · JoinCPR help center
Open a class from the list (View or Roster). The page shows the class summary and the roster of registrations with every action you can take on a student.
Header
- Copy Link and QR Code for the public registration page of this class.
- Send Follow Up appears once the class has ended. It sends the Post-Class Follow Up email to every Confirmed and Completed student. If it was already sent you are asked "Follow up already sent on {date}. Send again?" This works whether or not the automatic follow-up is enabled under Notifications.
- Cancel Class, Reschedule and Edit Class (admins and staff, hidden once cancelled). See Editing, cancelling and deleting and Rescheduling.
Banners appear for cancelled classes (red, with date and reason), recurring series (blue) and private client classes (purple).
Summary cards
- Date & Time: single date and time range, or one line per day for multi-day classes.
- Location: name and address, or "No location".
- Capacity: active registrations over capacity, with a red Full badge when reached, "N held for waitlist" while waitlist offers are open, and "N waiting". See Waitlist.
- Status: Published or Draft, plus Rescheduled when applicable.
- Instructors: one badge per assigned instructor.
The roster
Filters: search "Search students..." (name or email) and a status filter (All statuses, Pending, Confirmed, Completed, Cancelled, No Show). Summary badges show counts per status. Twenty-five rows per page, newest first.
Buttons: Export (AHA Roster XLSX or ARC Roster CSV, see Sign-in sheets and exports), Mark All as Passed (see below) and Add Student (see Adding students to a class).
Recording who passed
The quickest way to close out a class:
- Everyone passed: click Mark All as Passed. Every Pending and Confirmed student is set to Pass and Completed, each receives a certification and the Class Completed email. The confirmation window tells you how many students that is. Students already completed, cancelled or marked no show are left alone.
- Most passed: use Mark All as Passed, then set the exceptions to Fail or Incomplete in the Evaluation column. That revokes their certification and keeps them Completed (they attended).
- One at a time: set the Evaluation to Pass on each row. Pass does everything Mark Complete does, so you do not need both.
- Did not attend: use Mark No Show from the row menu.
Columns
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Student | Name. Extra badges: a building icon with the company for corporate-client registrations; Group or Group Lead for group registrations; one blue badge per purchased add-on |
| The student's email | |
| Status | The registration status (below). Replaced by purple Refunded after a full refund; Partially Refunded is added after a partial one. Cyan Transferred appears if the student was moved in from another class. |
| Evaluation | For Confirmed and Completed rows: a Pass / Fail / Incomplete selector. Choosing Pass marks the student complete and issues their certification in one step. Fail and Incomplete reveal a reason (Skills, Written, Attendance, Other) and revoke any certification the registration already holds. Saves instantly. |
| Registered | Date the registration was made |
| Amount | The total, with a green Paid or red Unpaid badge, "Free" for zero, and "Refunded $X" when applicable |
Registration statuses
| Status | Meaning | How it is set |
|---|---|---|
| Pending (yellow) | Seat held, payment not received | "Register (Pay Later)" on the portal when no processor is connected; staff Add Student with status Pending; corporate client bookings |
| Confirmed (green) | Registered and expected to attend | Paid or free checkout; staff Add Student; the Confirm action |
| Completed (blue) | Attended and finished | Mark Complete |
| Cancelled (grey) | No longer attending; seat released | Cancel action, a full refund, or Cancel Class |
| No show (red) | Did not attend | Mark No Show |
Pending, Confirmed, Completed and No show all take a seat, and so does a seat held for an open waitlist offer. Only Cancelled frees one; with the waitlist on, a freed seat is offered to the next person in line straight away.
Paid and Unpaid
Paid means a successful card payment or a registration you marked as paid. Unpaid is everything else, including corporate bookings and pay-later registrations.
Note
A student added with Waive payment or "Mark as manually paid" shows as Unpaid until you click Mark as Paid (Cash). That action also issues a receipt.
Row actions (the "…" menu)
| Action | Who | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| View Details | All roles | Shows add-ons, question answers, agreement acceptances (with time), the assigned keycode, and transfer history for this registration |
| Resend Confirmation | Staff | Re-sends the Registration Confirmation email (with the receipt PDF if one exists) |
| View Receipt RCPT-… / Resend Receipt | Staff | Opens the printable receipt, or emails the Payment Receipt with the PDF. See Receipts. |
| Confirm | All roles, Pending only | Sets status to Confirmed. No email. |
| Mark Complete | All roles | Sets Completed and issues a certificate if the student does not already hold a valid one and the evaluation is not Fail or Incomplete. The student receives the Class Completed email with the certificate details (or the Certification Issued email if Class Completed is switched off). Same result as choosing Pass in the Evaluation column. See Certifications. |
| Mark No Show | All roles | Sets No show. No email. |
| Mark as Paid (Cash) / Mark Unpaid | Staff | Toggles the paid flag. Marking paid issues a receipt (method Cash) and emails it. Marking unpaid does not void the receipt. |
| Issue Refund / Mark as Refunded / Refund This Student / Refund Entire Group | Staff | See Refunds |
| Transfer to Another Class | Staff, Pending or Confirmed | See Transferring registrations |
| Cancel | Staff | Sets Cancelled and frees the seat immediately, with no confirmation prompt. Sends no email and makes no refund. |
Important
A student evaluated as Fail or Incomplete never receives a certificate: Mark Complete records attendance only, and switching an evaluation from Pass to Fail revokes the certificate already issued. There is no undo of Completed on this page; the Instructor Portal's Revert to Confirmed puts a student back to Confirmed and revokes their certificate. See Instructor portal.
Tip
To tell a student their registration was cancelled, cancel from the roster and then contact them, or use Cancel Class when the whole class is off. Only Cancel Class sends the Registration Cancelled email.
Waitlist
Below the roster, the Waitlist section lists everyone waiting for a seat (position, contact details, seats, joined date and status) with Offer now, Add to class and Remove actions. It appears when the waitlist is enabled or the class has entries. See Waitlist for full classes.
Corporate client rows
Registrations made through the client portal or a client page start as Confirmed and Unpaid. Collect payment from the company however you normally do, then mark each seat paid. Employees without an email address never receive emails.
Group rows
See Group registrations for how group payments, receipts and refunds work.
