CPR certification tracking that brings students back to renew
When a student passes, JoinCPR records their certification with the expiry date the certifying body uses. Before it runs out, they get a reminder email with a link to book their renewal class with you.

Certifications recorded the moment a student passes
Mark a student Pass on the roster, or mark the whole class passed at once, and each student gets a certification record straight away.
The certification is dated from the class date, the last day for a multi-day class, however long after class you close out the roster. The student gets a Class Completed email with the course, issue date and expiry date. A student marked Fail or Incomplete never gets one, and changing a Pass to Fail revokes it.

Expiry dates that match the certifying body
Each course carries how long its certification lasts and which expiry rule applies: the end of the month for the AHA, NSC and HSI, or the exact date for the American Red Cross and ECSI.

Courses added from the course library come with the right validity and rule already set. For a course you create yourself, choose them once and every certification from that course follows.
Because JoinCPR’s dates match the card, the expiry you see, the reminders students get and the reports you run all agree with what the certifying body issued.
Renewal reminders that fill your next class
JoinCPR emails students before their certification expires, by default 30 and 7 days ahead, with a Find a Renewal Class button that opens your schedule filtered to that course.
Choose the reminder days you want in Settings. Students who already hold a newer certification for the same course are skipped, so nobody is chased after they’ve renewed. Imported training history counts too, so students you bring over from another system get their reminders on time.
The reminder is one of your automatic emails, with your logo and your wording.
Record provider card numbers or issue your own certificates
Each course says who issues the credential: the certifying body, or you.
Courses where the AHA, Red Cross or another body issues the card
This is how every library course is set up. You submit the roster to the certifying body, which issues its eCard or card. JoinCPR keeps the record, tracks the expiry date and sends the reminders, and you can type in the card number when it arrives so it shows in the student’s account.
Your own courses: branded, numbered, printable certificates
For courses you run yourself, such as a workplace safety or skills class, JoinCPR numbers each certificate and produces a branded certificate, ready to print or save as a PDF, with your logo, the course, the dates and a signature line for each instructor.

A public verification page for your own certificates
Anyone with a certificate number can check it on your booking site, with no login, so an employer can confirm a certificate you issued is genuine.
The page shows whether the certificate is valid, expired or revoked. Valid and expired lookups show the student’s name, course and dates; a revoked certificate shows no name. Printed certificates don’t carry a QR code, so share the verification address, which each certificate’s page shows.
Verification covers certificates you issue yourself. Cards from the AHA, Red Cross or another certifying body are verified with that organization.
Students see their certifications in their account
With student logins turned on, every student has a My Certifications page listing each certification with its status and expiry date.
Certificates you issue can be viewed, printed and downloaded as a PDF, and provider-issued ones show the card number you recorded. Expired and revoked certifications stay listed with a clear banner, so students know it’s time to rebook. More on student records and accounts.
Reports on active, expiring and expired certifications
The Certifications page lists every certification with filters for active, expiring soon (30 days or fewer), expired and revoked.
Search by student, course or number, print or download certificates you issued, and revoke, reinstate or reissue one when needed. The certifications report counts issued, active, expiring, expired and revoked certifications by course for any date range, with CSV and PDF exports; see reports.

Frequently asked questions
Does JoinCPR issue AHA eCards or Red Cross certificates?
No. The AHA, Red Cross or other certifying body issues its own card, and JoinCPR doesn’t submit rosters to their systems. You export the roster in their format, record the card number in JoinCPR, and JoinCPR tracks the expiry date and sends the renewal reminders.
When are renewal reminders sent?
By default 30 days and 7 days before a certification expires, and you can choose other days in Settings. Each reminder is sent once, in the morning, with a button that opens your schedule filtered to that course.
Can I import certifications from my old system?
Yes. Import students, past training records and certifications, with provider card numbers, from a CSV spreadsheet of up to 1,000 rows at a time. We can also help you import your data.
Can students add a certification to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
Not today. Students with an account can view, print and download the certificates you issue from My Certifications, and cards from the AHA, Red Cross or another certifying body come from that organization.
Can employers verify a certificate?
Yes, for certificates you issue yourself. Each one has a verification page on your booking site, found by its certificate number, that anyone can open with no login. Cards issued by the AHA, Red Cross or another certifying body are verified with that organization.
