JoinCPR

FAQ

JoinCPR frequently asked questions

JoinCPR is online class registration and scheduling software for CPR, first aid and BLS training businesses. Here are straight answers about pricing, payments, courses, your booking site, switching and support, including what JoinCPR doesn’t do.

Pricing and free trial

How much does JoinCPR cost?

JoinCPR costs $59 per month for one plan with every feature. There are no setup fees and no per-student or per-registration fees. Every account starts with a 15-day free trial with no credit card required.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every account starts with a 15-day free trial with every feature, and no credit card is required to start. After the trial, JoinCPR is $59 per month, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

Do you charge per student or per registration?

No. The price is $59 a month whether you register ten students or a thousand, and students, classes, courses, locations and team members are unlimited. JoinCPR takes no cut of your payments either.

Is there an annual plan?

No. JoinCPR is billed month to month at $59 a month, with no annual plan and no yearly contract. You can cancel anytime, and your account keeps working until the end of the month you’ve paid for.

Are SMS reminders included?

Yes, at no extra cost. Text reminders are part of the $59 plan and go out from a shared JoinCPR number, so there is no texting account to set up. Only students who opt in receive them.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. JoinCPR is billed monthly with no contract. Cancel from the Billing page and your account keeps working until the end of the month you’ve paid for. You can resume any time before then.

What happens when my trial ends?

Nothing is charged, because no card was taken. Your dashboard locks and your booking pages stop taking registrations until you subscribe from the Billing page, which opens everything again as you left it. Administrators get an email when three days are left.

Can I see a demo before I sign up?

Yes. Book a live demo and we’ll walk you through scheduling, registration, payments and certification tracking and answer your questions. Or start the 15-day free trial and look around on your own.

Payments and fees

Do students pay me directly?

Yes. Students pay straight into your own Stripe or Square account, and JoinCPR takes no cut. Stripe or Square charge their standard card processing fees.

Which payment processors can I use?

Stripe or Square. You connect your own account, and one of them takes payments at a time. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available through Stripe when you turn them on in your Stripe account. Other processors, such as Authorize.net or PayPal, aren’t supported.

Do I need Stripe or Square to start?

No. Until you connect one, checkout offers Register (Pay Later): the student’s seat is held, their confirmation says payment is due, and you mark them paid when they pay you. Connect Stripe or Square whenever you’re ready.

Can one person register and pay for a group?

Yes. Register a Group lets one person book two or more students in a single payment, up to the seats left in the class (or 50 when the class has no limit). Each attendee gets their own confirmation, and the payer gets one itemized receipt.

Can I give a partial refund?

Yes. Choose Partial refund on the roster and enter the amount. The student keeps their seat, gets a Refund Processed email with your note, and their receipt shows the refund and the new net amount.

Can students cancel or reschedule on their own?

No. Cancelling, transferring and refunding a registration are staff actions on the roster, so your cancellation policy stays in your hands. Students contact you, and you make the change in a couple of clicks.

Do you support deposits or payment plans?

Not today. A registration is paid in full at checkout, booked as pay later, or marked paid by you. There is no deposit, balance or payment-plan option yet.

Can I add sales tax or pass card fees on to students?

Not today. Checkout charges the class price plus any add-ons, with no separate sales tax or processing-fee line. Stripe or Square take their standard fees from your payouts as usual.

Does JoinCPR send invoices?

No. JoinCPR doesn’t create or send invoices. Corporate bookings are saved as unpaid, so bill the company your usual way, then mark each seat paid on the roster, which issues a receipt.

Courses and certifications

Does JoinCPR work with AHA and Red Cross courses?

Yes. You can schedule and sell AHA, American Red Cross, HSI, NSC and ECSI courses from the ready-made course library, export rosters in AHA (XLSX) and Red Cross (CSV) formats, and track expiry dates by each organization’s rule. The certifying body still issues its own cards.

Can I teach AHA and Red Cross courses from one account?

Yes. One account schedules and sells courses from every certifying body in the library (AHA, American Red Cross, HSI, NSC and ECSI) side by side, plus courses you create yourself. Each course keeps its own expiry rule, and any class can export an AHA or a Red Cross roster.

Do expiry dates follow each certifying body’s rule?

Yes. Every library course comes with its certifying body’s validity and expiry rule: cards from the AHA, NSC and HSI expire at the end of the month, and Red Cross and ECSI certificates on the exact date. Courses you create follow the rule you choose.

When are renewal reminders sent?

By default 30 days and 7 days before a certification expires, and you can choose other days in Settings. Each reminder is sent once, in the morning, with a button that opens your schedule filtered to that course.

Does JoinCPR issue AHA eCards or Red Cross certificates?

No. The AHA, Red Cross or other certifying body issues its own card, and JoinCPR doesn’t submit rosters to their systems. You export the roster in their format, record the card number in JoinCPR, and JoinCPR tracks the expiry date and sends the renewal reminders.

Can JoinCPR submit my roster to the AHA or Red Cross?

Not today. Export the roster in the AHA or Red Cross format and upload it to the certifying body’s system yourself. JoinCPR then tracks each student’s certification and expiry date.

Can I issue certificates for courses I design myself?

Yes. Set the course to We issue our own certificate, and every student who passes gets a numbered certificate with your logo that you and they can print or download as a PDF. Courses from the AHA, Red Cross and other certifying bodies keep their own cards.

Can employers verify a certificate?

Yes, for certificates you issue yourself. Each one has a verification page on your booking site, found by its certificate number, that anyone can open with no login. Cards issued by the AHA, Red Cross or another certifying body are verified with that organization.

Can students add a certification to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Not today. Students with an account can view, print and download the certificates you issue from My Certifications, and cards from the AHA, Red Cross or another certifying body come from that organization.

Your booking website and SEO

Do I need my own website?

No. Your booking site on a free yourname.joincpr.com address works on its own, with your schedule, course pages, checkout and a group training request page. If you do have a website, link to your booking site or embed your schedule on it.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Your booking site runs on a free yourname.joincpr.com address or on your own domain, such as classes.yourdomain.com, with free SSL. Course and class pages are built for search engines, with page titles, event markup and a sitemap.

Will my classes show up on Google?

Your course and class pages are built to be indexed, with titles, descriptions, event markup and a sitemap, and search engines usually pick up a new site within days of the sitemap being submitted. Rankings depend on your area and competition and build over weeks to months; a Google Business Profile helps with local searches.

Can I show my class schedule on my own website?

Yes. Copy one snippet from JoinCPR and your live schedule, course list or a single class appears on your website, updating itself as you add classes. Register buttons open checkout on your booking site in a new tab.

Is there a mobile app?

No, and there’s nothing to install. JoinCPR runs in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers. Students can register and pay on their phones, and your team can use the dashboard from any device.

Can I send newsletters or marketing emails from JoinCPR?

Not today. JoinCPR sends automatic class emails only. For newsletters and campaigns, connect Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or GoHighLevel, and JoinCPR keeps your students and their tags in sync there.

Switching and importing data

Can I move my students and certifications from another system?

Yes. Import students, past training records and certifications, with provider card numbers, from a CSV spreadsheet of up to 1,000 rows at a time. We can also help you import your data.

Can you help me import my data?

Yes. We help new customers move their students, past training and certifications into JoinCPR. Book a demo and tell us which system you’re coming from, and we’ll plan the import with you.

How long does switching take?

The import itself takes minutes per file, and setting up your courses, payments and booking site fits in an afternoon. Most of the calendar time is waiting for classes already booked in your old system to take place, while every new class goes on JoinCPR.

Will my students’ certification expiry dates carry over?

Yes, when each row has the class date and the course has its validity set. JoinCPR recreates each certification with the class date as the issue date and works out the expiry with the course’s rule, end of month or exact date, so it matches the certifying body’s card. Card numbers come across too, and imported certifications get renewal reminders.

Does JoinCPR have an API or Zapier integration?

Not today. JoinCPR has no public API, Zapier integration or outbound webhooks. It connects directly to Stripe, Square, Google Calendar, Outlook, iCal feeds, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and GoHighLevel.

Security and support

How does JoinCPR keep my data safe?

Card details go straight to Stripe or Square and never touch JoinCPR, every login can use two-factor authentication, each person’s access follows their role, and the database is backed up automatically multiple times a day. The security page has the details.

Can instructors see only their own classes?

Yes. Instructors see only the classes they’re assigned to and the students in those classes, with read-only student profiles. Opening any other class tells them they aren’t assigned to it.

Do you sell my students’ information?

No. JoinCPR doesn’t sell personal information, and we never share students’ mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The privacy policy explains what we collect and why.

How do I get help?

Email info@joincpr.com or call (855) 223-3496, 8am to 8pm Central, 7 days a week. Customers also have step-by-step Help & Docs inside the app.
