The short answer
Choose ClassByte if automated card issuing for the Red Cross, ASHI or MEDIC First Aid is your priority, you run training sites that need their own portal, or you take payments through Authorize.net. It lists American Heart Association card issuing as coming soon.
Choose JoinCPR if you want a lower flat price and a free trial you can start today, the choice of Stripe or Square, group checkout, an automatic waitlist, a booking site on your own domain, and email marketing integrations.

ClassByte’s plan includes administrative, training site, instructor and corporate customer portals and custom-branded registration pages. Its site states no setup fee, trial or per-registration fee either way, and asks you to request a live demo. Payments go through your own Stripe or Authorize.net account.
JoinCPR’s trial is 15 days with every feature and no card, and payments go through your own Stripe or Square account. Neither publishes a fee on your payments.

ClassByte’s headline feature is RapidCert, which issues student cards through direct connections to the American Red Cross, ASHI and MEDIC First Aid, so staff don’t re-enter students in the certifying body’s system.
- Automated card issuing. RapidCert connects to the Red Cross, ASHI and MEDIC First Aid, and ClassByte says an American Heart Association connection is coming soon. JoinCPR exports rosters for you to upload and records the card numbers.

Which is cheaper, ClassByte or JoinCPR?
JoinCPR: $59 a month against ClassByte’s published $199, which is $140 a month or $1,680 a year less. Both include unlimited students, instructors and classes, and neither publishes a per-registration fee.
Does JoinCPR automate eCards like RapidCert?
No. The AHA, Red Cross or other certifying body issues its own card, and JoinCPR doesn’t submit rosters to their systems. You export the roster in their format, record the card number in JoinCPR, and JoinCPR tracks the expiry date and sends the renewal reminders.
