Virtual locations with private meeting links
Create a virtual location for each video platform you use, such as a Zoom classroom, with a default meeting link and joining instructions.
Schedule classes there like any other. Each class uses the location’s link unless you give it its own, such as a per-session Zoom link. Capacity, price, instructors, private client classes and the waitlist all work the same as for in-person classes. If a virtual class has no link yet, its class page reminds you to add one.

Only registered students see the link
The meeting link never appears on your public pages. Your booking site says the class is online and that the link is emailed after registration.
Registered students get the link in their confirmation and reminder emails, on the checkout success page, in their downloadable calendar file, and as a Join online class button in My Account. Instructors and staff see it on the class page and in their calendar events. Search engines see an online event with no link.
Blended courses: the online part before class
Add a link and instructions for the online part to a course, and a Before class block appears on its course page, class pages, checkout success page and emails.
For example: “Complete the HeartCode BLS online course before your skills session and bring your certificate of completion.” It works for any prework, such as an eLearning module or a video, and a blended course can be taught in person or online.
Pair the course with a keycode bank and each student is emailed their online course key when they register.
Links and prework in every email and calendar invite
The default confirmation and reminder emails include the meeting link and the prework note automatically, for the classes that have them.
If you’ve reworded those emails, add the {{meeting_link}} and {{online_prework}} merge tags where you want them. Instructors’ Google and Outlook events put the link in the location, so Google Calendar shows a join button, and text reminders for online classes point students to their confirmation email. Frequently asked questions
Does JoinCPR host the video call?
No. Use your own Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link. JoinCPR stores the link, sends it only to registered students, and puts it in their emails and calendar files.
Can I track whether students finished the online part?
Not today. JoinCPR shows students the prework instructions but doesn’t record completion. Ask for their certificate of completion at the start of class, or add a registration question such as “Have you completed the online module?”.
Do text reminders include the meeting link?
No. The text reminder for an online class says the class is online and that the join link is in the student’s confirmation email. The link itself only goes by email.
