AHA courses ready to schedule
The course library includes 11 AHA courses, from BLS, ACLS and PALS to Heartsaver, each with its description, duration, how long the card lasts and the AHA’s end-of-month expiry rule already filled in.
Pick the courses your center teaches, set your price, and schedule one-day, multi-day or recurring classes. Each course becomes yours to edit, and changes to the library never overwrite it.

Rosters in AHA format
When class is over, Export saves the roster as an AHA roster in Excel (XLSX) format, with the course date and each confirmed or completed student’s name, email and phone.
Record results on the roster first: Mark All as Passed closes out the class in one click, then set any student who failed or didn’t finish. If the upload you use expects different column names, rename the headers once in Settings and every export uses your names.
Instructors can export the rosters of the classes they teach, and print a sign-in sheet with a signature column for each day. See class rosters and roster exports.
Expiry dates that match AHA cards
AHA cards expire at the end of the month, so JoinCPR does the same: a two-year BLS card from a class on March 14, 2026 expires on March 31, 2028.
Passing a student records their certification with the class date as the issue date and the right expiry date. Once the AHA card is issued, type its eCard code on the certification, and it appears on the student’s record and in their account.
Before each card expires, JoinCPR emails the student, by default 30 and 7 days ahead, with a Find a Renewal Class button that opens your schedule filtered to that course. See certification tracking and renewals.
Online course keys and blended learning
Load the HeartCode keys you’ve bought into a keycode bank, and JoinCPR emails the next one to each student the moment they register for the course.
The bank shows how many keys are left, and students who register when it’s empty wait in a list until you add more. For blended courses, add the online part’s link and instructions to the course: students see them on the course and class pages, after they register and in their confirmation and reminder emails.
JoinCPR doesn’t record whether a student finished the online part, so ask for their certificate of completion at the skills session. See keycode banks and virtual and blended classes.
Track your instructors’ AHA credentials
Record each instructor’s AHA instructor cards with their numbers and expiry dates, and JoinCPR emails your administrators and the instructor 30 days and again 7 days before one expires.
Attach a copy of each card, see who is expiring at a glance on the team list, and pull every credential that expires in the next 90 days from the Credentials report. Credentials from the Red Cross, HSI, NSC and ECSI work the same way. See instructor management.
How JoinCPR works alongside the AHA’s own systems
JoinCPR runs the business side of your classes, and the AHA’s systems stay the home of your cards: you issue eCards there, then record each card number in JoinCPR.

Frequently asked questions
Does JoinCPR issue AHA eCards?
No. The AHA, Red Cross or other certifying body issues its own card, and JoinCPR doesn’t submit rosters to their systems. You export the roster in their format, record the card number in JoinCPR, and JoinCPR tracks the expiry date and sends the renewal reminders.
Can training sites and their instructors share one account?
Yes, as team members of one JoinCPR business: each person has their own login and role, and instructors see only the classes they teach. There is no training center to training site hierarchy, though, so a center can’t give each site its own sub-account with a separate schedule, booking site or billing.
Does JoinCPR support HeartCode blended courses?
Yes. Add the online part’s link and instructions to the course, and students see them on the course and class pages, after they register and in their emails. A keycode bank can email each student their online course key at checkout. JoinCPR doesn’t record whether a student finished the online part, so check their certificate of completion at the skills session.
