A class roster in JoinCPR: each student's status, pass or fail evaluation, add-ons, registration date and payment, with buttons to export the roster or add a student

One roster for class day

Each class page shows the date, location, capacity and instructors, with a roster of everyone registered and what they’ve paid.

Every row shows the student’s status (pending, confirmed, completed, cancelled or no-show), a paid or unpaid badge, the add-ons they bought, and badges for group and corporate registrations. View Details opens their answers to your questions, the waivers they signed with the time they agreed, their online course key and any transfer history.

Search by name or email, filter by status, and send the post-class follow-up email from the same page once class is over.

Record pass, fail or incomplete in one click

The Evaluation column records Pass, Fail or Incomplete for each student, and Pass marks them complete and issues their certification in the same step.

When everyone passed, Mark All as Passed closes out the whole class at once, with a certification and a Class Completed email for each student. Then set any exceptions: Fail or Incomplete asks for a reason (skills, written, attendance or other) and revokes a certification already issued. Students who didn’t come are marked No Show.

Certification dates come from the class, and the expiry follows the certifying body’s rule. See certification tracking.

Print a sign-in sheet in seconds

The sign-in sheet prints with your logo, the class details and a numbered list of confirmed students, sorted by last name, with a signature column.

Multi-day classes get a signature column for each day, and classes of three or more days print in landscape. Five blank rows at the bottom take walk-ins. Instructors can print sheets for their own classes.

Export rosters in AHA and Red Cross formats

Export saves the roster in a format built for the certifying body: an AHA roster as an Excel XLSX file, or a Red Cross roster as a CSV.

Roster exports and their default columns
Export File Default columns
AHA roster XLSX Course Date, First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone
Red Cross roster CSV First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Evaluation, Reason, Additional Information

Both include confirmed and completed students. If the upload you use expects different column names, rename any header once in Settings and every export uses your names.

JoinCPR doesn’t submit rosters to the AHA or Red Cross for you: you upload the file where you normally do, and the certifying body issues the cards.

See how JoinCPR works for AHA training centers and Red Cross training providers.

Walk-ins, transfers and no-shows

Class day rarely goes exactly to plan, so the roster handles the changes without paperwork.

Add Student registers a walk-in on the spot: find them or create a new record, then charge their card, mark cash as paid or waive the fee, even when the class is full. Transfer to Another Class moves a student to a different date with their payment, add-ons and answers, and emails them the new details. It warns you when the new class costs more or less, and the difference is yours to collect or refund.

No-shows take one click, and cancelling a registration frees the seat for the next person on the waitlist.

Instructors can run their own roster

Instructors see the classes they’re assigned to, with the roster, and can record results without any access to payments.

From the class page they can confirm registrations, set the evaluation, mark the whole class passed, export the roster and send the follow-up email. Payments, refunds, transfers and cancellations stay with admins and staff. See instructor management.

Frequently asked questions

What format is the AHA roster export?

An Excel (XLSX) file named for the class and date, with Course Date, First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone columns for every confirmed and completed student. You can rename the column headers in Settings to match what you upload.

Does the Red Cross export include evaluations?

Yes. The Red Cross CSV has each student’s Evaluation (pass, fail or incomplete) and Reason, taken from the roster, alongside their name, email and phone and an Additional Information column.

Can instructors mark attendance?

Yes. For the classes they teach, instructors can mark students complete or no-show, set pass, fail or incomplete, and mark the whole class passed. They can’t take payments, refund or transfer students.

Can I add a walk-in to a full class?

Yes. Staff can always add a student from the roster. JoinCPR warns you the class is at capacity but lets you go ahead, and you can charge their card, mark them paid or waive the fee.

Can JoinCPR submit my roster to the AHA or Red Cross?

Not today. Export the roster in the AHA or Red Cross format and upload it to the certifying body’s system yourself. JoinCPR then tracks each student’s certification and expiry date.
