Rescheduling a class
Move a class to a new date, time or location with the Reschedule tool, which emails registered students, resets reminders and updates instructor calendars.

Reschedule is the right way to change a class's date, time or venue once students are registered. It records the change, tells students, resets reminders and updates instructors' calendars. Editing dates through Edit Class does none of that.
How to reschedule
- Open the class and click Reschedule (also available from the list menu).
- Enter the New Date & Time. Multi-day classes show one block per day; the number of days is fixed here (use Edit Class to add or remove days).
- Optionally tick Also change location and pick the New Location.
- Add a Note to students, for example "Due to instructor availability we have moved this class to a new date."
- Leave Notify all registered students by email ticked to email every Confirmed student. The window shows how many will be notified.
- Click Reschedule & Notify Students (or Reschedule Only if you unticked the notification).
What happens
- The old dates are stored and the class page shows an amber Rescheduled badge with "This class was rescheduled on {date}. Original date: {old date}".
- The automatic class reminder email and SMS reminder are reset so they fire again for the new date.
- Every assigned instructor's Google or Outlook event is updated.
- Confirmed students with an email receive the Class Rescheduled email containing the old and new dates, the location and your note. You can edit the wording under Email templates.
- Anyone on the class's waitlist receives the same email; the waitlist stays with the class.
Note
Pending (pay-later) students are not emailed by Reschedule. Contact them separately if you have any.Rescheduling one class in a recurring series affects only that class.
