The right access for everyone on your team
Every team member is an Admin, Staff or Instructor, and admins and staff who also teach can be flagged as instructors.

An instructor portal for class day
Instructors land on My Schedule, with their upcoming classes, this month’s classes and students, and their own credentials.
From a class they see the roster with students’ phone numbers, mark students complete or no-show, mark the whole class passed, and print the sign-in sheet. My Classes lists everything they teach, upcoming and past, with the number of students in each. Their dashboard never shows revenue, and payments, refunds and transfers stay with admins and staff. Classes land on instructors’ own calendars
Each instructor can connect Google Calendar or Outlook, and every class they’re assigned to appears there automatically.
Events include the address and how many are registered, and update within about a minute when you reschedule or change a class. Online classes put the meeting link in the event. Instructors who use Apple Calendar or another app can subscribe to a private iCal feed instead, showing just their classes or your whole published schedule.
Assigning an instructor doesn’t send them an email: the class simply appears in their portal and on their calendar. More in class scheduling.
Instructor credential tracking and expiry alerts
Record each instructor’s credentials, such as an AHA BLS Instructor card, with the issuing organization, number, dates and a copy of the document.
Each credential shows as Active, Expiring Soon or Expired, and your team list gives every instructor a coloured dot: red if a credential has expired, yellow if one expires within 30 days, green when all are current. Every administrator and the instructor get an email 30 days and again 7 days before a credential expires, and the credentials report lists everything expiring in the next 90 days. Instructors see their own credentials, with a warning, in their portal.
Credentials are for your records and reminders: an expired credential doesn’t stop you assigning that instructor, so keep an eye on the alerts.
Frequently asked questions
Can instructors see only their own classes?
Yes. Instructors see only the classes they’re assigned to and the students in those classes, with read-only student profiles. Opening any other class tells them they aren’t assigned to it.
Can an instructor take payments or refunds?
No. Payments, refunds, transfers and cancellations are for admins and staff. Instructors can confirm registrations, record attendance and results, and export the roster for their own classes.
Is there a mobile app?
No, and there’s nothing to install. JoinCPR runs in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers. Students can register and pay on their phones, and your team can use the dashboard from any device.
Can an instructor work for two businesses on JoinCPR?
Yes, with one login, by accepting each business’s invitation. There’s no switcher between businesses, though: after logging in they land in the business they joined first, so someone who works in two accounts every day is better off using a separate email address for each.
