Use Transfer to Another Class from the roster or the student profile when one student needs a different date. The registration itself moves; payment, add-ons, answers, keycodes and any certificate go with it.
Steps
- In the roster row menu (Pending or Confirmed registrations) choose Transfer to Another Class.
- Search for a class. Only published, upcoming, non-cancelled classes are offered, with their date, location, spots left and price.
- Select the target. The window shows any blockers or warnings.
- Optionally write a Note to student, then click Transfer Registration.
Blockers
The transfer is refused if:
- the student is already in that class, or already has an active registration there
- the target is cancelled, unpublished or has already started
- the target is full
Warnings (transfer still allowed)
- "The new class costs $D more. No charge is made automatically; collect the difference separately."
- "The new class costs $D less. No refund is made automatically; issue one from the roster if needed."
- "This registration is already marked complete."
Effects
- The registration disappears from this roster and appears on the target roster with a cyan Transferred badge. The seat here is released immediately; the seat there is claimed under a lock so two staff cannot take the last seat at once.
- The student receives the Registration Transfer email with the new class name, date, time, location, the old class, and your note.
- Status and payment are unchanged. Nothing is charged or refunded.
Groups
Transferring a member of a group registration moves only that person. The group record and its receipt stay on the original class.
