A checkout students finish on their phone
JoinCPR’s checkout is a short, step-by-step form that works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download. Students only see the steps their course needs.
Only the steps each course needs
Checkout runs in order: Your Info, Questions, Add-Ons, Agreements, Summary and Payment. A course with no questions, add-ons or waivers skips those steps. A free class, or a promo code that covers the full price, finishes at the summary with no payment step. The order is enforced on the server, so nobody can jump ahead and skip your waiver.
Guest checkout or student accounts
Students can register as guests with a name and email, or tick Create an account to see their classes, receipts and certifications later. If you want every student to have a login, one switch turns guest checkout off. Returning students are matched by email address, so each person keeps one record with their whole history.

Register a whole group in one payment
A class page shows Register a Group whenever more than one seat is left. One person books two or more students and pays once, up to the seats left, or 50 when the class has no limit.

Choose the group size
The lead registrant says how many people are coming and whether they are one of them.

Add each student
A first name, last name and email for every attendee, so each person gets their own seat and emails.

Answer and agree once
Questions are answered once for the group, add-ons can be picked per student or for everyone, and one acceptance of your waiver covers the group.

Pay once
One card payment for the whole group, or Register Group (Pay Later) when no payment processor is connected.
Every attendee appears on the roster with a Group badge and receives their own confirmation email. The person who paid gets one receipt for the whole group, itemized by attendee, so a parent booking three kids or an office manager booking a team has a single record of the payment.
A promo code discounts the whole group and counts as one use. If a group member drops out, you can refund just their share from the roster, or refund the whole group at once.

Collect what you need before class
Ask your own questions and collect signed waivers during checkout, so there is no paperwork to chase on class day.
Custom registration questions
Add questions such as an employer name, a license number or a medical note. Each one is free text, a set of radio buttons or a dropdown, and you can make any of them required. Assign a question to the courses that need it and it appears at checkout for every class of those courses. Answers show in the student’s details on the roster.
Online waivers, stamped with time and IP address
Write your liability waiver or terms once, with formatting, and attach it to courses. Students open each agreement with Read & Agree and must accept it before they can continue. JoinCPR records which agreement they accepted, when, and from which IP address. In a group, the person registering accepts on behalf of everyone.
Sell more with add-ons and promo codes
Offer optional extras at checkout and run discounts with limits you control, without a separate store or coupon tool.
Add-ons like pocket masks and books
Offer optional products such as a pocket mask, a student manual or a replacement card on any course. Students switch them on at checkout, one of each per student or for everyone in a group. Each add-on is its own line on the receipt and a badge on the roster, and the price a student paid is locked in even if you change it later.
Promo codes with limits and dates
Create percentage or fixed-amount codes, or let JoinCPR generate a random one. Cap how many times a code can be used, set when it starts and expires, and apply it to every course or to one. Students enter it on the summary step and see the discount straight away. One code per order, and codes discount the class price, not add-ons.
Seats are protected automatically
JoinCPR never sells more seats than a class has. Capacity is checked when checkout opens and again at payment, so two students can’t both take the last seat.
If the last seat goes while a student is typing in their card, the payment is refunded automatically and they’re told the class is now full. Registration closes when the class starts, or earlier if you set a cut-off in minutes, and the button changes to Closed. A student who is already registered for a class can’t register again with the same email.
Full classes show Full, or Join Waitlist when you turn on the automatic waitlist, which offers freed seats to the next person in line. Staff are never locked out: you can still add a walk-in to a full class from the roster, with a warning.
Confirmations, receipts and calendar invites
Every student gets one confirmation email the moment they register, with a branded receipt PDF attached when they paid.
The confirmation page has Google Calendar and Apple Calendar (.ics) buttons so the class lands in the student’s own calendar. For an online class, the email and confirmation page carry the meeting link; for a blended course, they carry your instructions for the online part. Students who register to pay later get the same email marked Payment due.
If the course has a keycode bank, the student’s online course key arrives in a second email straight away. Every email carries your logo and business name, and you can reword each one. Frequently asked questions
Can students register without creating an account?
Yes. Guest checkout needs only a name and email address, with the phone number optional. Students can tick Create an account if they want to see their classes, receipts and certifications later.
Can I require students to create an account?
Yes. Turn on Require account for registration in your student portal settings and guest checkout switches off. New students choose a password as they register, returning students log in, and anyone with past classes but no password is emailed a link to set one.
Can one person register and pay for a group?
Yes. Register a Group lets one person book two or more students in a single payment, up to the seats left in the class (or 50 when the class has no limit). Each attendee gets their own confirmation, and the payer gets one itemized receipt.
Can I collect a signed waiver online?
Yes. Attach your waiver to a course and every student must open and accept it before they can pay. JoinCPR records the time and IP address of each acceptance. Students you add from the roster skip this step, so send them the registration link if you need their waiver on file.
Can staff register walk-ins?
Yes. Add Student on the class roster registers anyone yourself: charge their card through Stripe or Square, mark them paid by cash or check, or waive the fee. Staff can add a walk-in even when the class is full.
Can students cancel or reschedule on their own?
No. Cancelling, transferring and refunding a registration are staff actions on the roster, so your cancellation policy stays in your hands. Students contact you, and you make the change in a couple of clicks.
