Student Portal settings
The Student Portal settings in JoinCPR: student login, required accounts, spots remaining, the registration cut-off, the waitlist and Search and SEO fields.

Settings → Student Portal (admins and staff) has four switches and fields that shape registration on your portal, plus a Waitlist card and a Search & SEO card. Click Save after changing them.

| Require account for registration | Off | Only selectable when login is enabled. Turns off guest checkout: the Your Info step asks the student to log in or create an account (password fields are required). Someone whose email already has an account is told to log in; someone with past registrations but no password is emailed a set-password link and returns to checkout once they log in. Staff walk-ins, client bookings and joining a waitlist are unaffected. See How student checkout works. |
| Show spots remaining to students | On | Shows "N spots left" on the class list, class page and checkout summary. Full is always shown. Capacity is enforced either way. The same setting drives the embed's "Show spots remaining" toggle. |
| Registration cutoff (minutes before class) | Blank | How long before the start time registration closes on the portal and embeds. Blank closes at the start time. Applies to every class. Staff can always add students from the roster. |
Waitlist
Off by default. When on, full public classes with a capacity show Join Waitlist instead of Register, and a freed seat is offered to the next person in line and held for them. The full behaviour is in Waitlist for full classes.

Search & SEO
Three optional fields that fine-tune how your portal appears in Google. Everything else about search is automatic; see Getting found on Google.

Changes take effect on the next page load; search engines pick them up the next time they crawl.

There is no maintenance mode for your portal; platform maintenance is managed by JoinCPR. If your plan lapses, registration pages close automatically. See Billing.
