Student accounts and My Account
Optional student logins on your JoinCPR booking site: turning them on, creating an account at checkout, claiming past records, password resets and My Account.
Updated · JoinCPR help center
Students can optionally log in to your portal to see their registrations, download certificates, view receipts and manage their details. This is off by default.
Turning it on
Under Settings → Student Portal, switch on Enable student login portal. Until then the login, register and account pages do not exist (they return "not found") and no login links are shown. See Student Portal settings.
Note
The View / Print Receipt button in receipt emails opens the account area, so it only works when login is enabled. The PDF attachment always works.
How students get an account
- At checkout: the Create an account switch on the Your Info step. Shown to guests even if login is disabled; the account then becomes usable once you enable it. With Require account for registration on, the switch becomes mandatory and guests must log in or create an account to continue. See How student checkout works.
- Create your account on the portal (
/register). If the email already has past registrations without a password, the student is not blocked: a "set your password" link is emailed so they can claim their existing history and certificates. If the email already has a password they are told to log in instead. - Forgot password (
/forgot-password) emails a reset link valid for 60 minutes. Guests who never set a password can use this too.
When an account is created either way, the student receives the Welcome Email (editable under Email templates, switchable under Notifications). Claiming past records through the emailed link does not send it.
Passwords need at least 12 characters with mixed case, a number and a symbol. The password reset email is a standard system email rather than a branded one.
Staff cannot create accounts, set passwords or send reset links from the app. Point students to the portal.
My Account
After login, students land on My Account:
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| Quick links | Registration History, Certifications, Browse Classes, Keycodes |
| Upcoming Classes | Confirmed and Pending registrations for future classes. An online class shows a Join online class button with the meeting link. |
| Waitlist | Classes they are waiting for, with their place in line, a Claim spot button while an offer is open, and Manage to leave the list. Shown only when they have entries. See Waitlist. |
| My Keycodes | Codes assigned to them, with Access links. See Keycode banks. |
| Receipts | Payments they made, with View receipt. Only the payer sees a group receipt. |
| Past Classes | Completed, no-show and past registrations |
| Your Profile | First and last name, phone, and Send me text message reminders about my classes. The email is read-only: "Contact the training company to change it." |
| Change Password | Current, new and confirm |
Registration History
All their registrations with a status filter, date, location, status and amount (the amount charged, not net of refunds). Imported history is included.
My Certifications
Every certification including expired and revoked ones. Certificates you issue yourself show their number with View, Print and Download PDF. Provider-issued certifications show the card number if you recorded it (otherwise a dash) and View only, since the provider's card is the document. The detail page shows "This certification has expired" or "This certification has been revoked" banners with a prompt to contact you.
What students cannot do
Cancel, reschedule or transfer a registration, request a refund, change their email, or delete their account. They contact you and you act from the roster or student profile.
