Student Portal

Your student portal

What students see on your JoinCPR booking site: branding, the class list, class and course pages, availability badges, sharing links and search results.

Updated · JoinCPR help center

Your student portal is the public website where students browse and register. It lives at your-business.joincpr.com or your custom domain and takes its logo, colours and favicon from Branding.

Layout

  • Header: your logo, or your company name as text if you have no logo (never both). Links to Classes, Courses and Request Training. When the student login portal is enabled, a Log in link or the student's profile menu with My Account, History, Certifications and Log out.
  • Phone: a hamburger menu with the same links.
  • Footer: your own Terms and Privacy links if you entered URLs under Settings → General, then "Powered by JoinCPR · Platform privacy".
  • Dark mode follows the visitor's device setting.
  • Browser tab titles are written for search engines: the home page reads "CPR, First Aid and BLS Classes in {City} | {Company}", a course page "{Course} Classes in {City} | {Company}", a class page "{Course} – {Date} – {City} | {Company}". The city comes from your first location or the Search & SEO setting; other pages read "{Page} - {Company}".

The class list (home page)

Heading Upcoming Classes. Lists classes that are published, not cancelled, not private and have not started yet. Full classes are still listed.

  • Filters: All courses (active courses) and All locations (shown by address).
  • Columns: Class, Date (with time for single-day classes), Location, Price ("$75.00" or a green Free badge), Availability, and a button.
  • Availability badge: red Full; amber "N spots left" when five or fewer remain; green "N spots left"; or green Open when capacity is unlimited or you have hidden spot counts.
  • Button: Register, or a disabled Closed once the registration cut-off has passed, or Full. With the waitlist on, a full class shows Join Waitlist instead.

Once a class starts it drops off the list. Cancelled and unpublished classes never appear. Sharing your-portal/classes?course={id} opens the list filtered to a course; the renewal links in reminder emails use this.

Class pages

Each class has a page at your-portal/classes/{id} (the link behind Copy Registration Link and the QR code). It shows the date and time (one line per day for multi-day classes), duration, location and address (or "Online class" with a note that the join link is emailed after registration, for a virtual class), a "Before class" block for blended courses, instructors, the description, price "per person", availability and the button: Register Now, plus Register a Group when more than one seat remains; or Registration Closed, Class Full (or Join Waitlist when the waitlist is on) or Class has ended.

A breadcrumb trail at the top links back to the course page and the home page.

Once a class has ended or been cancelled, its link forwards to the course page (or to the schedule if the course has been deactivated), so old registration links and search results never dead-end. An unpublished class forwards to the schedule until you publish it again, and a class id that does not exist goes to the schedule. Private (corporate) classes stay reachable by their link but are hidden from search engines.

Course pages

Courses lists every active course, with image, description and "N upcoming classes" or "No upcoming dates". Each course page is a landing page for that course: description, duration, "Valid for N months", "Starting at $X", the list of upcoming dates with the time, venue, price, a Details link and a Register button for each, and an Other Courses block linking to up to three more courses. A course with nothing scheduled shows "No upcoming dates" with your company phone and email so students can ask about the next class.

Renaming a course changes its link, but the old link keeps working and forwards to the new one. See Courses.

What search engines see

The schedule, the course list, course pages and public class pages are open to Google; checkout, account, verification and client-portal pages are not. Each page carries a description, a preview image for social sharing and structured data (your business details on the home page, the course and its dates on course pages, the event on class pages), and the portal publishes a sitemap at your-portal/sitemap.xml. When a custom domain is active, search engines are told it is the real address of every page. See Getting found on Google.

Group training requests

A Request Training item in the header (after Courses) and a note on each course page link to your-portal/request-training, a public form where a company can ask for a private or group class. Requests land under Training Requests in your dashboard. See Group training requests.

Sharing

  • Copy All Classes Link / QR Code on the Classes page for the whole schedule.
  • Copy Registration Link / QR Code per class, and Copy Course Link per course.
  • Put the schedule on your own website with the embed widgets.

When the portal is closed

  • Plan lapsed: the class list, class and course pages, checkout and embeds show "Online registration is temporarily closed" with your company email or phone. Verification, student login and the client portal keep working. See Billing.
  • Platform maintenance: a short "under maintenance" message set by JoinCPR.
