Group training requests
Let companies request group training from your JoinCPR booking site, work each request as a lead, then create the client and a private class in one click.
Updated · JoinCPR help center
Companies that want training for their staff can ask for it straight from your portal. Each request lands in Training Requests in your dashboard, where you work it like a lead and, when it's agreed, turn it into a corporate client and a private class with one click.
The request page
Your portal has a public page at your-portal/request-training, reached from the Request Training item in the portal header (after Courses), a note on every course page ("Need this for a group?") and the website embed. It asks for company, contact name, email, phone, course (your active courses, "Not sure yet" or "Something else"), how many people, preferred dates, where the class should happen and a message. No account or payment. The "where" choices are worded for the requester ("At our workplace (you come to us)", "At your training location", "Online, live over video", "Not sure yet") and shown to you as "At their site", "At our location", "Online" or "Not sure yet".
On submit the contact sees a thank-you and receives the Training Request Received email with a copy of what they sent. You receive New Training Request with the details and a button to the request.
The page is written for search engines the same way your course pages are, with a title such as "Group and Corporate CPR Training in Denver, CO | Your Company", and it's in your sitemap, so it can rank for corporate training searches on its own. See Getting found on Google.
Note
The form has built-in spam protection and accepts one request per email address per hour; a second submission within the hour shows the thank-you page without creating a duplicate.
Who is notified
Every administrator, unless you set Training request notifications under Notification settings to a single address such as a sales inbox.
Working a request
Manage → Clients → Training Requests lists requests with company, contact, course, headcount, received date and status. New requests sort first and show as a badge count in the sidebar and a New Training Requests tile on the dashboard. The filter defaults to open requests (not yet won or lost).
Open a request to see everything the company sent, keep Notes (calls, quotes, decisions), and set its Status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Nobody has looked at it yet |
| Contacted | You've replied (set automatically when you create the client) |
| Quoted | A price is with them |
| Won | A private class was scheduled from the request (set automatically) |
| Lost | They went elsewhere or went quiet; you can record a reason |
Create client
Create client makes a corporate client from the company and contact details. If a client with the same company name, or whose contact email is on the same domain, already exists, the button reads Link to existing client instead and attaches the request to it. The second menu option also invites the contact to the client portal as an admin.
Schedule private class
Schedule private class opens the New Class form with the course, the headcount as the capacity, Private ticked and the client selected (creating the client first if there isn't one). Pick the dates, location and instructors and save. That:
- marks the request Won and links the class to it;
- emails the contact the Private Class Scheduled email with the class details and the private registration link, so each employee can register themselves. Everyone who registers through that link is added to the client's employee list. See Private registration links.
For a recurring series the first class is the one linked and emailed.
Emails
Three editable templates under Email templates, with the tags in Merge tags:
| Sent when | To | |
|---|---|---|
| Training Request Received | A request is submitted | The contact |
| New Training Request (Staff) | A request is submitted | Administrators, or the notification address |
| Private Class Scheduled | A class is created from the request | The contact, with the registration link |
